I am new to askville. Do I compliment all who answered a question. Or just the most helpful?
I got more than one good answer to my question. I need to know if I am supposed to compliment all or the one that might be the most helpful. I don't want to get people mad at me because I'm rude.
Thanks in advance. Asked by sarcasticman 30 months ago Similar questions: askville compliment answered question helpful Amazon > Askville.

It really depends on you. Most askvillers don't expect a compliment back, but it is nice to receive a complement. I don't believe most people will be mad at you at all.
Don't worry.
Compliments are optional You can send compliments whenever you are so moved. Some people use these heavily. Others will send one or two compliments a month for really out of the ordinary answers.
There are many ways to politely thank people for their participation. You can do that live on the DB. You can use PMs.
And, you can use compliments. You'll figure out a system that suits you. Welcome to Askville!.
1 It's not mandatory to compliment anyone for their answers. However, I think it's a nice thing to do. It happened to me recently and it felt kinda good.
I didn't get Best Answer but the person took the time to say Thanks and it was nice. Do whatever feels comfortable for you. No one will be offended if you don't but you also might make someone's day if you do.

3 With a name like sarcasticman, we might not take your compliment seriously. Kiddin.....just kiddinYou compliment anyone you feel the need to compliment. No need in kissing everyone's butt as some of us around here don't need buttkissing.
Kiss mine all you like...wait..no..that didn't come out right. You can compliment when someone is funny, if they really helped you, said something smart or whatever. No worries, just jump in and have fun.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
