My family loves pot stickers! This is a great recipe. I make these all the time.

I usually double the recipe so there are plenty of leftovers. They are a lot of work, but they are so worth it. For a quick version, I put the pre-made round wraps in the produce section at the store, but the home-made dough is much better if you have the time.

Dough: 2 c. All-purpose flour 3/4 c. Boiling water (have a few tablespoons extra if needed) Filling: 1 c.

Finely chopped napa cabbage 8 oz. Lean ground pork, browned and finely crumbled 1 can water chestnut, finely chopped 1 1/2 tsp. Soy sauce 1 1/2 tsp.

Cornstarch 1/4 tsp. Ground ginger 1/4 tsp. Sugar Vegetable Oil for browning 2/3 c.

Chicken broth for steaming Place flour in a bowl, making a well in the center. Pour in water and stir with a wooden spoon to form a dough. Place dough on lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastics.

Add additional flour to prevent sticking if necessary. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and let stand for 30 minutes. For filling, squeeze cabbage to remove moisture then combine with remaining ingredients and mix well.

Unwrap dough and knead briefly. Divide into 2 pieces, re-covering one piece with plastic wrap. Using a floured rolling pin, roll out dough to 1/8 thickness on a floured surface.

Cut 3-inch circles with a cookie cutter or biscuit cutter then fill with 1 teaspoon of the filling. To seal moisten the edge and fold over, pinching the edges. To cook pot stickers heat a thin layer of vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet and cook in batches a few minutes until golden brown.

Once they are all browned, put all pot stickers in the pan and add chicken broth. Reduce heat and cover to steam the pot stickers until liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes. Serve with soy sauce or chili oil for dipping.

Pretty complicated pot stickers are pretty complicated to make by hand..... I would give you a recipe, but I don’t know what all the ingredients are called in english, so it may be useles..... folding them is also a whole different issue.... you can buy the pot sticker wrappers already made (that's what I use), but you can also make those by hand too.... it’s easier to have someone show you how to make and fold them, but you can also really customize what you want in them.... I recommend the ling ling pot stickers from costco. They are premade, you just need to heat them up in a frying pan and they also come with a really tasty (especially for being pre-packaged) sauce. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
