I am thinking about lap band surgery. Can anyone that has had this surgery let me know their personal experience with it I would like to know from personal experience how those people who have had lap surgery done feel, how hard it is to live with lap band, and any problems in everyday life that come as a result of having this surgery. Would you do it again?

My dad had it, lost 75, then undone. My dad had that last year, he lost at least 75 pounds which for him was fantastic. The weight loos was somewhere between hell and bearable.
But then an infection set in and his body formed scar tissue around it and it had to be removed recently. He will have either it done again or the gastric bypass after sufficient healing. It worked beautifully until the infection.
He was so happy.
He had it about 12 months ago and his wife a year before that Hers did not go well. The lap band was inserted and she had some problems during recovery - and she lost oxygen feed for a couple minutes and had some slight brain damage. She has become disabled and has not lost (much) weight.
My friend's surgery - the decision made after a long time of prayer and soul seeking, was more successful. He weighed about 480 before the surgery and now, a year (I think 11 and a half months because it was close to Thanksgiving) later he is down to 330 or so. S strong intention is to pass me like a fast car very soon (I weigh about 305, but I am built big and am 8 inches taller than him).
He has had no complications and intends to have it "loosened" after he is below 250. S shoot for weight is 180. He eats like a billion times a day, just a couple bites at a time.
As far as I can tell, he's very happy with his successful surgery - bummed about his wife, though. I have known him since he was about 210 (25 years ago). He's the happiest I have seen him in 15 -20 years.

Who has had problems with lap band surgery.
What was your experience during and after surgery.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
