What you should be getting is a router , I don't know any internet providers or plans that don't include a wifi router so they're going to plug in the router and you have a choice of using wifi or plugging an ethernet cable to the router and console . Your cable box has nothing to do with the router . They're separate pieces of hardware you'll probably use wifi and just connect the console wirelessly.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
