I had 10 treatments of laser hair removal and the specialist said it would stop growing after 10?

Anyone who tells you that laser hair removal yields permanent results is pretty much a blatant liar. I have been participating in this for over two years for my upper lip and it still grows back. Sure, the hair is noticeably thinner and the treatments are more effective than waxing but, in the end, the hair STILL grows back.

The only treatment that I've looked into that has over a 99% permanent result is electrolysis. The main differences with this and laser is that electrolysis: 1. Is more expensive (way more!), 2.

More painful because a really really really thin needle is inserted in each hair follicle to burn the root, 3. Because of this precise method, your appointment will be MUCH longer than laser. I still go to laser because it definitely helps but even my dermatologist herself told me that the results are not permanent --the hair is simply thinned and growth is stunted.

When you're younger especially, due to all those fluctuating hormones, the laser process requires more visits. Additionally, the ideal candidate for laser hair removal is pale skin with dark hair (which is what I have) so hopefully you are too. If you can endure long lengths of zapping pain really well, and are willing to part with a considerable amount of money, then definitely go for electrolysis.

I wish I could but at the moment laser is cheaper and I have no other choice. It's better than waxing, Sally Hansen products, and shaving though! Hope this helps and good luck.

Unwanted hair growth is so irritating --- I feel your fustration.

I would go back to the specialist first and say its still there and see what they say, It might just need another treatment if its particularly stubborn. 10 might not be a hard and fast rule, maybe its just an average.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
