Use a wireless usb adapter, they're very cheap nowadays pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/wireless-cards-adapte....
I am assuming that the wireless modem downstairs is already set up and broadcasting a wireless signal to the laptop. You would need to add a wireless card to the upstairs PC. You can either get one that installs inside the computer in one of the slots on the back, or you can ber a USB adapter that plugs into a USB port.
Both work the same and are just as easy to configure, and cost about the same. Only the USB one does not require you to open the case to install it. Assuming you are with 100 to 150 feet of the modem (the signal travels up as well as out), you should be able to get a wireless signal upstairs and have Internet.
Connect another wireless router upstairs either set as repeater/extender or another dhcp.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
