I have a nephew I think is being neglected and abused...what can I do?

I think you need to be more insistent with CPS. If necessary consult a lawyer specializing in family law to help you with the issue. To find a lawyer in your area you can start with findlaw.com.

It (the system) works differently when someone in authority i.e. The mental health ppl, the children's advocate service etc. , does the reporting of child abuse. This sure seems like that is what this is.

Call CPS again- whoever you spoke to last time was wrong/misinformed. The way he is being treated is wrong, and they would be able to help you help him. Just make sure you talk to the right person.

Good luck. I hope you and your nephew come out alright.

Please try again with CPS. Try to be there for your nephew. Talk to him and be a part of his life.

Try to be his positive thing. He needs someone to be positive for.

Erm this is humain I would physicaly shuffle the parents mortal coil asap, this is horrible no child should be put threw misery especially in his years of life were he doesn't have a care in the world well apart form parental abuse im so sorry for this parent who obviously gets some kind of discipline high hmmmmmmmmm please write back im deeply concerned sorry about my default picture if was funny at the time............

I agree with dumblonde. You might need to insist on talking to a supervisor, or writing a letter to the department head. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Kids need food to grow, it helps them think, At this point if my kids are being treated this way , while going thru court. How do their kids being treated, are they being feed, bathed,? Then snd them to bed early.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
