I have a older EasyShare CX7300. It says the memory card needs formatting. I tried when it says to continue but it wont.

When I push continue it says the pictures will be lost and I again push continue. It comes up a picture of an hour glass, just for a second, then goes back to the original screen saying it need to be formatted. I tried pushing on the menu but nothing seems to work.It just seems locked up except the screen that keeps coming on saying it need to be formatted.

Try removing the batteries and replacing them with new ones. A bad battery can cause many different symptoms. It's also possible your card has been damaged or become defective.

They can get dust in them, or receive a small shock such as being dropped; even a spark of static electricity can damage them. You may need to just get another memory card. In case you have misplaced the manual (I always do) I'm including a link that will give you the manual online.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
