An iBook G4 can support Leopard (10.5. --). You'll have to look around a bit for Leopard install disks, and they look like they're over $100. Here are the requirements for Leopard.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
