Ice and an anti-inflammatory can help. It's also important to ensure your knee functions well with optimizing strength, mobility, and flexibility. I would exercise and stretch and avoid activities that make the pain worse.
You can always see a physical therapist to help.
I am just a humble X-ray tech so take my advice with a grain (or less) of salt. Bursitis is an inflammation of the bursa (the sac in between the joint of the knee that contains synovial fluid) and when this area becomes inflamed it is very difficult to get it to heal because of it's position in the body and the job it is required to do. I know you have probably already heard this a million times but ibuprofen and ice are probably going to be your best bet (short of a steroid injection).
It always amazes me just how effective these two simple treatments can be when applied rigorously. "Itis" is inflammation (swelling) and ice and ibuprofen are what reduce swelling the best (for OTC and at home care). Again, just an X-ray tech, so proceed with caution.
Please follow up with your doctor as a ruptured bursa is much worse than bursitis and could result in a knee replacement. Best of luck!Dave.
So the best thing to do is to reduce the inflammation using ice packs. This can also numb the area temporarily so you might need to do this from time to time.
The medical literature says that there are cases that rarely do not get better and require surgery to reBursitis imove a painful bursa. In my experience, and I have seen thousands of these cases, not one of my patients has ever needed surgery. The simple treatment described above should get you running painfree again soon.
I hope this helps.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
