I had an old chinese woman come to me one day as I was limping to my car. I never saw her before, but she could tell it was my knee. She told me that I should eat beef tendon to help rebuild my knee cartilage.
Beef tendon is hard to find, but I am a butcher by trade, and I have taken the old woman's advice. She was right!
