I have Comcast cable-I always thought you will not need to buy an HD box if you have cable?

Here's the scoop If you have an HD television, then you can get a Comcast HD cable box. This is different from the regular Comcast cable box in that it handles the HD signal. If you have a regular TV, then the regular Comcast cable box will continue to work after February 17.

This is because Comcast gets their signal via cable or satellite from the TV stations and networks. Not over the air. And then they deliver it to you via cable.So they will continue to deliver their signal the way thay always have.

It won't be HD signals, it will be "dumbed down" to regular broadcasting to match your TV. So you don't need to worry when February 17 comes..
