Your wireless router is 54mbps Chances are, you've simply misread your wireless router specs. The current batch of wireless routers based on the 802.11g Wi-Fi spec have a maximum speed of 54 megabits per second, which is 54,000 kbps, far in excess of your satellite service at 100 kbps.. You do not need a faster router.
No Your wireless router is 54 megabits per second. It is much, much faster than your satellite link. I doubt you get 100 kbps from the satellite.
That's only twice as fast as a normal telephone modem. I suspect you get 1000kpbs or 1 megabit per second, but I haven't looked at Hughes to see what their data rates are. That still leaves your wireless router about 25 times faster than your satellite link..
Your 54kbps wireless router is actually a 54Mbps router, so you have no reason to worry. Any router sold within the last 3 or 4 years with a "54" as its speed was a 54Mbps router, not a 54kbps router. Prior to that, most wireless routers were rated at 11Mbps.In fact, I highly doubt that a 54kbps wireless router has ever been widely sold to the public, so you really have no need to worry - you just got the speeds mixed up.
A "Megabit" has 1024 "kilobits", so your 54 megabit-per-second router is much more than adequete for your 100 kilotbit-per-second internet connection. Sources: Opinoin .
YES You need a router capable of running at 100 MBPS. The router is allowing you to use half of what it is capable of. I would recommend a 801.11g Super G wireless router to take full advantage of your bandwidth.

1 Sorry misread the speed of the satalite, true your 54 mbps is faster than you sat connection so you do not need the router I suggested. If you connection is 100 mbps then you would.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
