Legally, the passenger is never at fault unless they deliberately jump out of a moving vehicle. Because a passenger is not, at any time, in control of the vehicle. Even if you had opened the door into a parked vehicle while getting in or out, it would still legally be blamed on your friend (or whoever owns her car).
The owner, not the driver and definitely not the passenger, is legally responsible for their vehicle and any damage it causes. That's the law in every state and province. Your friend crashed into a parked vehicle.
Whether the passenger door was open or closed makes no difference, crashing into a parked vehicle is about as at-fault as it gets. Unless she can prove that you forced her to shift into gear and hit the throttle, no court is going to hold you responsible for anything.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
