Learn to like them. A balanced diet is important to a healthy weight; and that includes vegetables. The good thing is that there is a large variety available; as well as a variety of ways to prepare them; so if you experiment; you may find a combination that works well to supplement the foods you prefer.

Thank you. I appreciate the suggestions. Mralphva 6 months ago .

Simply changing to water from sweet beverages for 2 of 3 meals a day can make a significant difference. And you're not alone in the "I can't eat any of the foods I like" feeling. We all have to deal with that.

- smaller portions of the best stuff and larger portions of the bland stuff.

You can lose weight without having to live on veggies. However, to safely lose that much is going to take 4 to 6 months. Here you go.1.) No soda.

None. At all. A can of soda has 10 teaspoons in one can.

You can, literally lose ten to twenty pounds in two months simply by stopping the soda intake. 2.) Fruit rather than sweets. Broiled meat rather than fried.

No fatty greasy foods. No fast food. Frozen yogurt rather than ice cream. If you need carbs, pretzels rather potato chips.

A bite size candy bar rather than a full one. Limit potato and bread intake. Rethinking your diet and one hour of exercise a day and you can lose the weight pretty easily.

10 teaspoons of sugar in one can of soda! .

Thank you. Sounds like something I can do. :) mralphva 6 months ago .

God put vegetables on this earth for a reason...body can't live without them.

You may want to look into juicing. It is possible to buy or make smoothies that are primarily vegetable but have perhaps an apple, beets or carrots so you mostly taste the sweetness, not the vegetables. Net.

Exercise, drink water, and have no more than 1200 calories a day.

Dueling stipulations there, . Most people are overweight because they prefer to eat the extra calorie foods such as fatty meat and breads. My constant recommendation is a bean stew I worked up that is legumes and citrus fruits, cooked together.

The two are low to no calories (I cut the fruit and peel whole into the crock pot), and the ascorbic acid binds the intestines the legumes are trying to loosen. The net effect is low calorie, high fiber, high iron + B + C vitamins, and I can flavor it as I want. If you hate this, then your only other option is making friends with hunger (which I recommend anyway.) It's not as if you'll starve to death in the U.S.

Get rid of any unnecessary 'junk' food and try to eat lots of grains and 'good' fats. Also, if you like fruit, make smoothies for lunch. They are generally about 150 calories for a decent size one and full of vitamins.

Making even small changes will start to make a big difference.

Try the Atkins diet. Mainly meats and nuts and (some) leafy green veggies like in salads. My wife lost loads of weight on this diet back in the 70's.Be careful though because no carbs can harm your health.

Atkins is a low carb diet not a no carb diet. Zero carbs in any diet WILL adversely affect your body (foul digestive tract). Hope you find success in your venture!

Boosh .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
