What kind of example of behaviour is he setting for them? Get rid of him and stop being a doormat. You need to find new friends who actually do care about you, and really will support you through tough times - not take advantage of you and your kids when you are grieving over losing a parent/grandparent.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
