Topics can vary and you will find the hubs that are the most popular among the community of readers may not make money because you need targeted traffic from the search engines, but if you are just trying to get a following or subscribers to a blog, then the best topics to write about are ones that will start a conversation.

Topics on real estate and finances tend to do better. But then you can hit a niche that does very well not in those areas. Religion does not do that well.

Money related, Sports, Tips on affiliate marketing are usually hits amongst fellow hubbers.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
