I actually was on the other end of this sort of thing for my daughter. She needed a text book that was sold out at her school so I found it @ Amazon and purchased it. But the seller didn't offer "Speedy Delivery" like Fred Friendly does, so the book showed up late.
I e-mailed him about maybe hastening the delivery but he never responded to the e-mail. And he didn't have to. He did nothing he didn't promise to do.
He did do what he did promise to do. And that's where you are: if you promised Book X for Y amount, you get Y amount and send the buyer Book X. Did you promise hasty shipping?
No? Then you're not required to do any more than the shipping you promised in the Amazon ad. She wants a refund because her circumstances changed, but that's nothing on you..
If you have I would suggest that she return the book to you. Upon receipt of the book refund her money less the shipping costs that you incurred. That is just good business.
If you don't do that then I think Amazon might have an issue with you.
2 If you sent it within the period of time you agreed to - 2 business days I think - you're under no obligation to refund money. If they needed it sooner, they should have purchased it from the college bookstore. Sometimes Media Mail will take 9 days or longer to reach its destination.
I had a book I sold on Amazon once that took a little over 30 days to get from Texas to Illinois.....for some reason, the Post Office kept sending it to Gaithersburg, Maryland.....then back to Chicago.....then back to Maryland.....but fortunately I paid for tracking and was able to get it intercepted and delivered two days before the guy's classes started. I was about ready to refund the money - just to show I was a nice guy - then they could have marked it "Return To Sender" and it would have come back to me. If it was sent within the period of time you agreed to ship - refunds are up to you.

Curiouskitty replied to post #3: 4 You'd have to ask them (Amazon).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
