AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER Kindle is now in handI finally received my Kindle, but not before I left on vacation, which I had hoped would be my first test of the gadget. In fact, on the day before I left, November 10, I called and let them know it still had not arrived, so they told me they'd send me another one via UPS. When I got home, there was a Kindle there, but not one sent via UPS.It was the first one I ordered, which, according to the Post Office tracking, was sent from Richmond, CA, 15 miles from me, to Maryland, and then back again to San Francisco.
It actually didn't arrive at my door until November 18th, the day I got back from vacation. What about the second one the customer service rep told me they'd ship? It never arrived.
Nor did I receive any shipping confirmation on that one from Amazon to indicate that it ever was sent out. I mean, I have one now and that's great, but I feel a little strange that somebody said they'd ship me the other one and never did. It's not perfect. But I don't have to return an extra one.
Is all well that ends well? Hmmm. So, I've been using my Kindle for about a week now. More details on that in my next post.
POSTED BY ELLEN AT 4:47 PM 4 COMMENTS LINKS TO THIS POSTWEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2008Contacting AmazonToday I decided to contact Amazon. I ordered my Kindle on Oct. 26, so, realistically, the 5-9 business days shipping doesn't actually get to nine days until tomorrow. However, since their actual estimated delivery date was Nov.3, I'm beginning to get worried.
I hope this experience isn't starting off with a bang. I wrote them an e-mail. We'll see what that say.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
