I usually sleep in my reclining chair however when I do sleep in my bed and lay flat I wake up with a severe headache I had a sleep study done and my o2 stats dropped to 74% so my Doctor put me on oxygen at night. Even with the oxygen I still wake up with a severe headache whenever I lay flat. These headaches have gotten so bad I have even vomitted.
Now my Doctor has set me up with another sleep test because he thinks that I have sleep apnea even though my last sleep test said I quit breathing only when I am on my back during REM sleep. I spent 85% of my night in stage 2 sleep and only 5% in REM sleep. Funny thing is I feel I sleep better and wake up headache free when I sleep in my recliner.
I do have alot of back and neck problems and currently take 75 mcg of fentanly and 2400 mg of gabapentin. What would be the best way to find out if my sleep problem is due to my spinal problems or my sleep apnea? See a chiropracter. No, really. I saw one nigh on 30 years ago and he did much in a mere 6 months for my headaches.
Have him analyze the straightness and structural integrity of your spine and then have him and your sleep doctor chat about your body. I really think he could bring some valuable information into this. Just don't pay that much attention to the vegetarian part, yet.
One thing at a time.
1 This soooooooooo is not the place to seek the help you need. You need a very very thorough medical work up. I'm a respiratory therapist, and I'm reading thru this and I have absolutely no doubt, you're presenting a partial picture. My guess is you're also overweight with type2 diabetes.
You need serious medical attention, not the blind advise of strangers on the internet.

Trinitysaij replied to post #2: 3 ya.. what he said..lolSeriously.. these are things to be talking to a doctor about. If you do not like what your doctor is doing/ saying.. nothing is stopping you from talking to a different one. Good luck!

4 I think the sleep study is warranted, even though you had one in the past. I would also suggest that, since you generally sleep in your recliner anyway, that you stop sleeping in the bed until you and your medical professionals get this figured out. Kat .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
