I want to plant a winter garden and I live in the desert. Which vegetables will grow best in a dry climate at this time of year?

As long as you protect them if the temperature gets too low, you can plant almost any basic vegetable. A raised garden can be the best because then you are using a better soil than what we have here in the desert. Winter squash is a nice vegetable to grow here as well.

Th indians aways had corn, squash, beans...the best beans and chilies are desert plants anyway :) enjoy! Try nott o add too much stuff to your soil and don't overwater it...make an irrigation trough through your rows or use containers for gardening...watch out for the rabbits thy and the javelina a sometimes even skunk will eat it up ifyou are IN the desert/if you are in the city you'll be cool.

Tomatoes,Peppers,Corn,Cacti, almost anything as long as you water them. ,and have good soil mixed with compost and fertilizer.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
