I see math questions here sometimes Most people use this forum either as a form of play or for researching purchases. But I think you've got a good idea and that this could be used to help people with math problems. Unfortunately, most of the math problems I've seen asked here have been designed to utterly stump people, and that's no fun at all.
I suggest you lead by example and start asking a few math questions to see if others join in. I would recommend doing some word problems, and make them interesting. For example, make sure the question involves iPods in some form.
;) Or, if the questions involved calculating shipping prices for Amazon products, or better yet, calculating how much people would save on shipping prices if they signed up for Amazon Prime, I'm sure the hosts of this site would be very happy. :) But whatever you ask, the best way to get others to ask similar questions is to lead by example. Here's something I've been thinking about, and I don't know if it violates the rules here, but if you were to ask a math question and require that the person who answered also ask a math question which referenced the first question in some way?
It sounds a little like a pyramid scheme, doesn't it, but it could lead to a lot of questions being asked. It's just a suggestion that maybe needs to be researched a little more. Anyway, those are my 1 + 1 cents.

Help make this resource known on other math help web sites The first one that comes to mind is the Math Forum at Drexel University, and they even have a form for submitting links to new resources. Another strong site for math help is S.O.S. Math; they too have a links page and invite suggestions. You can find a number of similar sites by searching on "math help" for example, but I think these two are the most widely used.
If you submit a link to Askville, it should be specific to math topics.
I say communication other than math related stuff I'm currently a senior in high school and when I needed help in math problems, I was able to ask the teachers who were open to the class and who always entertained us. I felt more comfortable asking questions to the teachers who communicated with us because I knew they loved to teach us and they would help me no matter how much I ask them the same question. Also, I have fun in class and will be able to learn and enjoy at the same time.
On the other hand, when the teachers do not or cannot communicate with us, the students, I feel like they are just teaching us just because they have to and I feel like they would be frustrated with me asking the same question over and over again. Therefore, I love teachers who can joke around with us because they are the teachers who makes me comfortable in class. Hope this helps you.

Tell them you'll do their homework Seriously, this site would explode if we answered homework problems. I don't think this would pose much of a problem to teachers either. Firstly, internet answers are notoriously wrong or incomplete (in the world of graduate level physics anyway).
Secondly, students learn by doing, not by getting hung up on the little twists added to problems by small thinking authors. If you provided direct answers to homework problems, students would still have to understand it by test time. And the savings in time could maximize their focus on the heart of the problems..
1 I have done a few math problems that were obviously for homework help, so we just need to get the word out that we are here and know how to PROPERLY do the math. ALso if you do them make sure you clearly explain how you did it so you can help them out and not just give them a free answer.

" "help with math word problem please! " "help with multiple choice math problems?" "Math problem help! " "Last problem on math homework, help me?
" "please help me! Math test tomorrow :(" "can somebody help me with this political math?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
