Wow, now that's a tough call. I would respect that he has turned his life around, but I can't say that I would trust him around children. I can see why your daughter would still loathe him and mistrust him.

I'm not sure she can dictate how you respond to him, but I think you have to at least acknowledge that her experience is valid and that her anger towards him is completely understandable. I certainly wouldn't sing his praises in front of her or insist to her that he has changed.
