BP has share capital and reserves of US$ 102,113,000,000. The clean up and claims (which will be mostly be against Transocean and it's insurers not BP anyway) are expected to be around $1,500,000,000 or about 1% of what BP has sitting in the bank. Chances of it going bankrupt are therefore less than 2%.
