If a city goes bankrupt, should it still be obliged to pay the pensions of its retirees?

Yes they should pay, many of those people traded a higher pay for better benefits including paying into a pension and other benefits, its a contract that shouldn't be broke. However I heard somewhere on a news show that if the city declares bankruptcy they can then renegotiate all pensions even the ones they"re handing out, whether it's true or not I have no idea.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
