If I wipe my hard drive and then reinstall windows is it true that I have to reinstall a bunch of drivers?

You need to tell us more. Have you actually wiped your Hard Disk Drive? If so have you installed an operating system OS such as Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 etc,after you wiped the Hard Disk Drive?

If the latter is no, then you need to install a Windows OS or any other OS such as Linux that you prefer. If this is what you are trying to do, but your "computer won't recognize red driver cd". Then my 2 questions are 1 is the so called "red driver cd" a CD to install Windows?

2 or is it an actual driver CD to install hardware drivers such as Sound Card, Chipset or other hardware, after you installed Windows? If your answer to 1 is yes, then maybe you have not enabled your PC to boot from CD or DVD drive in the BIOS. To enable this option, get into the BIOS setup menu, which depending on your PC, you may need to press the DELETE key or f1 e.g., during start-up.

Once you're in the BIOS setup, look for Boot Priority setting somewhere probably in the Advanced or Chipset menu. Make sure that the CD/DVD drive is set to be the first boot device. Save and exit the BIOS setup, and your PC should now be able to boot from a bootable CD or DVD, to install Windows e.g. If the answer to 2 is yes.

Then your red CD may be damaged or is dirty. Look for scratches on the opposite side of the label. If it is badly scratched, then you are out of luck.

If it's dirty, wipe it clean with a damp soft clean cloth, wiping from the center of the CD moving to the outer edge. If it is simply an install problem with adobe flash player, then see if adobe has a tool to remove all traces of the flash player from your PC, reboot, then try to install the flash player. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
