If my father has a receding hairline, does that mean I will?

If your father has a receding hairline and you resemble him in most ways physically, I'm afraid the chances are that you will also find the same thing happens to you. This is one of the more annoying aspects of genetics and unfortunately, until someone finds a cure for baldness, there is very little that can be done, unless you resort to expensive and not always successful treatments such as hair transplants. To complicate matters even further, you could take after your mother in most respects and still find that you lose your hair, this could originate from her father or even further back her grandfather.

One of the more complicated examples of receding hair is Prince William, who closely resembles his mother, the late Princess Diana, but whose hairline is receding in exactly the same way as his fathers, Prince Charles! I guess it shows that you can't win!
