When it comes to pool tables a slate top will stay true forever, no warping, swelling, or gouging of the surface. MDF will swell if it is an an area with high humidty or if it gets wet. MDF can also warp slightly making the table not perfectly level.
Slate will allow balls to roll more freely than MDF because of the slate being so smooth. As for changing the color you can get any color of felt to cover the table to change the color. MDF tops are much cheaper than slate and will do for most people but professionals will prefer slate.
Thanks for the reply and the information. Since i'm just a recreational player I guess the MDF would be fine. Can I assemble the table with help or should I get it done professionally.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
