If there was no life after this one, would people strive as hard to be "good"?

I think people who are good are that way because they care about their fellow human beings, not for what they can selfishly get out of it. So, it doesn't matter either way.

You know that is really sort of an interesting question. If no life after this one was absolute then religion wouldn't exist. Then the sheep wouldn't have purpose and chaos would take over.

Only non believers would continue striving to live a good life. I am being extreme but it does open many cans of worms. To answer the question, I would say yes they would continue to live a good life, or at least I would like to think so.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
