Many say aids or cancer, the largest killer is heart disease though, heart disease kills more people than any other disease so I would eliminate that, If I had to pick a second it would be diabetes, more people die from diabetes than from aids. Diabetes leads to so many complications that lead to death so while it may not be the numbre one killer it probably is the number one underlying cause that leads to other diseases.
I will eliminate AIDS because it's a disease that will instantly lead you to your "death bed". It has no cure. No one ever recover from it.It affects anybody and the number of affected people is growing exponentially.
The common cold and things like that are annoying, but doable. Life-altering diseases like Tourret's or Down Syndome are - and I'm sure I'll get a lot of comments arguing this point - nature's way of filtering out "bad genetics" from our race, or at least making sure that those who have "bad genetics" don't procreate. Either you're annoyed for a week, or thousands of years of unstoppable evolution are beating down on you - nothing you can really do about it.
Cancer is random. It doesn't strike anyone for any reason, there's no Darwinistic plan behind any of it, it's just random cell mutation caused by various factors that are (usually) out of our control. Cancer is just cruel, deadly and unfair.
I would rid the world of all cancers in a heartbeat.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
