Cancer and heart disease are bad, but most cases are largely caused by lifestyle; smoking, drinking, too much sun, a bad diet, obesity. I wouldn't want to have a cure for a lifestyle disease, because if there was a cure, they would just keep doing what they are doing wrong, and keep getting cured over and over. I would cure HIV and AIDS.1) because it is more than likely a man-made disease that was released on people without their knowledge and 2) because it kills too many children needlessly because of the stupidity and bad behavior of their parents.
The drugs they use on adults for AIDS are too strong for children. Children born with aids usually die before their sixth birthday, and those who are infected later usually die within 5 years. Do you wonder why you don't hear about a lot of teenagers with AIDS?
Because not many of them live to be teenagers. The fastest growing group of new AIDS cases is people over 55.Seriously. And most of the women infected were infected by a spouse who they had been married to long term.
Men go through their midlife crises, and bring HIV home with them. It's sad, but it's a statistic. They usually get it from a one time thing or a prostitute.
I think it's so sad that in your golden years, you have to die because of this kind of craziness. So to save the children and the grandmas, I would cure HIV and AIDS.
It would have to be cancer. I have lost too many loved ones to this disease, and many more die everyday. It can be found in anyone, young, old, white, african american, male, female.
This illness has no boundaries. There are treatments, but a cure would save so many lives.
Alzheimer's Disease. It robs people of part of their lives in a terrible way. It robs couples of their golden years together and puts people in the position of caring for their spouse at a time they are least capable of doing it.
Great Question!
It would have to be diabetes, but that is just because I have it and would like to be rid of it. Less selfishly, it would have to be heart disease as that would probably save most lives.
Muscular Dystrophy I would cure Muscular Dystrophy because it kills young people in the prime of their life. Depending on the form of the disease, life expectancy ranges from 13-21, with people rarely surviving past their 20's. When a child is born, they may appear healthy.
However, over time their muscle slowely wastes into fat and leaves them paralyzed. Eventually, body systems fail. Unlike Cancer, Diabetes, or even AIDS, there are no long term treatment options for Muscular Dystrophy.
While the brain is left fully functioning, young bodies go to waste.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
