If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If I could live anywhere in the world, I would live by the beach. Maybe in Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Dominican Republic. I like to look at the sea.It calms me down.

I would enjoy the sunsets and the sunrise every single day. In addition to that, I would live by the beach because I like collecting sea shells and I am a free spirit type of person. trifter.com/caribbean-latin-america/puer....

I may sound childish but I would live in Las Vegas. I love the bright lights and the city. I haven't gone there yet but that's my biggest dream!

How I wish...

The tallest tower in the world is just across your house and so many other unbelievable, crazy and weird architectural delights. You could go for a desert safari one day, learn tap dancing the other, have sheesha and watch / learn belly dancing the next day and have dinner at the revolving restauarant all in one city. There are many lovely and better places to live, but this place is good enough for us.

But we love to go on short trips to visit all those wonderful places where others have been living happily. You could go out shopping until 12.00 in the night, You get to meet people from different cultures everyday.

Israel. I lived there and I will live there again. Though USA is the best country (well, not as it is going right now....).

I've already lived and worked on five continents and thoroughly enjoyed each experience. But if I could live anywhere? I'd live on a sailboat and travel with the wind at my back, anywhere and everywhere...

For me I would love to live in the United States. I love love them when it comes to demonstrating the intellect. And they are realistic in their views about living though something needs to be done fast on their morals and the legal code that interpretes their freedom.

I would go to Quito, the city of spring seasons. Spring is a great time to cherish and feel fresh and happy all the time.

I would go to the Philippines. Because I loved Summer,. I guess its summer now there.. lol .. I want to live near the Boracay beach (Philippine beach) It's a beautiful beach..

Hawaii, its a tropical paradise, id live right on the beach, and enjoy the mistic blue water, and warm breezy nights.

I would want to live in Europe somewhere, maybe Germany or Austria if I could live anywhere.

I want to live any part of EUROPE OR AMERICA, because there are many beautiful places in this part of the world..

I would want to live anywhere historically rich. I love history and any where to hear a great story filled with historically accurate information is a dream. To put a specific name to the question, probably Japan or Great Britain...possibly China.

Assume that someone, somewhere in the world is willing to trade houses and jobs with you permanently, and that he/she has a house/job that's pretty comparable to your current ones (i.e. , this is not a "what if you just won the lottery" question!). Where would you most want to go, or would you just want to stay at home?

Right here, on my little mountain-side in Alaska I have genuinely found my little piece of paradise here in Alaska. After living in Florida for years, fearing the hurricanes, sinkholes, incredible lightning storms, snakes and alligators and bumper to bumper traffic along our main traffic corridors, even the worst Alaska has thrown at me has been better. Don't get me wrong, even tho' I call it paradise, Alaska certainly has its share of worries, from moose in the front yard to earthquakes and extreme cold, but there's a rawness here that challenges you, that pushes you to meet that challenge, and I love it.In Florida, even if I wasn't choking on smoke from the fire storms, I'd already be feeling like I was going to die of heat stroke.

Believe it or not, I'm in a sweatshirt and jeans right now and it's on the cool side outside without a coat, but I would rather dig out my coat again then try to figure out how to take off enough clothes to stay cool. I have never been a hot weather person and feel better health wise here, I might note, then I did suffering inside trying to stay cool in Florida. If you're an outdoor kinda person, you've got to love our summers.

Sure, they might be on the cool side to most, but right now I can wander outside at close to midnight with no flashlight and see perfectly well to meander about. Now, true, I might not be able to sit on the deck and read yet, but at some point I'll be able to do that around 2 AM if I so choose. We do have mosquitoes, monster ones, but you simply learn to cope.

My Mosquito Magnet was one of my best purchases ever, which reminds me, I need to go fill up a propane tank and crank that sucker up before the mosquitoes begin to flock into the yard. Working here is interesting. I'm lucky enough to work out of my home, in my PJ's if I want, but while I'd be leaving and returning home in the winter in darkness, the long summer hours make up for it.

Got snow? Good, get a four wheel drive, snow blower, and deal with it. I still chuckle to myself in the winter seeing so many pickups around with plows mounted on the front end and am fortunate enough to have friends with just such a pickup.

So far, in my quest to be independent, I haven't had to call on 'em to plow me out, but there's a certain security in knowing someone cares enough to offer. Yes, this is a friendly state, total stranger will strike up conversations at lunch or in a store or just while sitting on the dock watching an eagle soar above you. And, needless to say, I could go on and on, but I'll shut up now.

I'm right where I am and think I'll leave this computer and go outside and check out that mountain view from the deck. Ah, life is good.... Sources: personal opinion .

I think it would be Asia, specifically S. Korea or Japan. The asian culture fascinates me!

Technology wise they are cutting edge and this is my vice. I'm a gadget junky and I would probably go into overload there. PLus their educational system seems far superior to ours in terms of math and sciences, the two subjects whose jobs are likely to be exported overseas.

Plus they seem to have ironed out the sticky details of how to test their students and truly evaluate their potential and what they have successfully learned, not something we in America have done. The other thing that fascinates me is that they have a strong sense of culture and tradition. Although I enjoy that here in America everyone is free to have their own history and values, I think I am missing out on the historical framework of an "older country".

Although I am a girl, it would be important if I had children to consider that S Korea has mandatory military service for men. This is somewhat scary in times of war, however, I think it a wise decision on their governments part. T will never have a shortage of people willing to defend their country, a problem we are currently facing today. In some ways this is better than a draft type system, as children are raised up knowing that they should and must serve their country.

This sense of pride is lacking in Ameria. The only thing that would turn me off S Korea is the threat of war with N Korea. Apparently their people live in fear that something is going to eventually happen.

However, if I think I would take the risk. Sources: My Opinion .

A mid-size city in Europe seems like a fine choice When I lived in London I enjoyed all the diversity in attractions that a cosmopolitan and well developed city has to offer, but the thing that I remembered the most was the opportunity to travel around some of the most beatiful cities of the world. That's the thing with Europe, since the unification of the european market became a priority, its infrastructure (including tourism) began to develop at all kinds of levels and available for all kinds of budgets, so traveling is quite easy. Don't forget that in comparison to other areas of the world, Europe is the one that offers one of the broadest contrast in terms of culture, history, languages, climates, wines and culinary stile; for example, I have a fried living in Switzerland, and whenever he feels like it, he would go down to France to have dinner and come back.

Europe is also a place where a lot of the most interesting worldwide changes are taking place, with the unification of eastern europe and its links to asia, you really could have amazing experiences just by taking a weekend trip. Besides, I really like the relax and "smell the roses" way of life of europeans (not that the germans or the brits are the case, even though the scots have certain french influence), so I would really like to live in Italy, Spain of France, plus the weather is very nice most of the year. To narrow it down, Spain is beatiful, and it may be easier for me to move there, since as a latinamerican, I am a native spanish speaker and share cultural background.

Finally, I believe that I don't need the stress of a major city, but I do need cosmopolitan attractions, so I would go for Barcelona: you have culture (lots), history, tradition, the sea, the mountains, night life, and of course, the possibility to go to spend a weekend in Rome or Paris whenever you want. Best regards, .

Hawaii All the benefits of being in the US (phones, post office, you can drink the water, health codes, roads, etc), and the people are actually nice. I came to a 4 way intersection, with only stop signs, during rush hour. Everyone waited their turn and gave a friendly wave as they went through. No one cheated.

No one honked. No one seemed stressed. If that isn't paradise, I don't know what is!

Oh yeah, and I like the beaches and the weather, too. :) .

I know we live in different area's all over the world,my question is do you think the average driver is better or worse.
