If you found out your best friend's spouse was cheating would you tell him/her?

No, I would confront the spouse and give them a chance to come clean If I were friends with both and the spouse was a generally reasonable person (I'm not going to do this if, say, spouse-y has a history of violence or something) I would confront them and say basically: I know what you did and you have a week to find a good time and come clean. If you don't, I'll be coming clean for you. Then I would leave it up to them.

A week later, if they didn't come clean, I'd follow through. My best friend won't appreciate hearing it, won't appreciate that it came from me and not spouse-y, and I wouldn't want to do anything to upset them, but it is something that they need to know. Hopefully then the spouses can work through it.

If I ended up being the one to tell, I would not mention that I spoke to their spouse first unless it became important later.

Not right away I would go to the cheater first and tell the cheater that he/she had 24 hours to talk to his/her wife/husband and to tell them what was going on or that I would talk to the cheated upon myself. It is not good to have the knowledge and just walk around with it and do nothing. If the friend ever found out about the cheat and then found out that I knew about it all along, they would be very hurt and angry with me also.

I would have to have incontrovertable proof. I would not want to ruin a relationship over a misunderstanding. I would approach my friend and tell them what I knew, and that I was there for them.

I would not share this knowledge with anyone else, and I would support any decision they made, short of hiring a hitman. You have to tell them if you consider them your friend. If they already knew, then there are bigger problems, and you can still support your friend.

If they didn't know, then they can now start to address and resolve the problem. The only reason not to tell your friend is not wanting to get involved. A true friend would get involved.

No, but I would tell the spouse I knew to scare them. I wouldn't tell my friend because I wouldn't want to be responsible for hurting my friend and possibly ending her/his marriage. I would though go to the cheating spouse and tell him/her that I know what's going on and try to scare him/her into straightening up.

After that, I'd leave it up to the spouse to change and/or tell my friend. On the other hand, if the couple isn't married I would tell my friend in a heartbeat. My friend needs to break up with that person before it gets more serious.It could save a world of heartbreak down the road.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
