It would depend on how trained/experienced they were, etc. Back in the "old days", people did things at a much younger age--16 would have been considered an adult at some points in history & certainly even a hundred years ago, kids would go to sea even as young as 7 or 8 as an apprentice. However, these individuals were trained, from that young an age in the ways of seamanship & certainly were not at sea by themselves at that age. Inherently, I do not see a problem with someone at 16 sailing around the world, provided that they are able bodied, having studied seamanship intensively for years and have had significant experience sailing solo on extended trips.

Without that kind of background, however, I'd probably want to shake some sense into the kid *lol* .

My oldest son is married and has a two year old daughter.

My youngest son is dating a young lady with an almost 3 year.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
