As a Christian that would be an impossibility! If you are a follower of Christ- you ARE the church. The church is a body- you are one of the members of that body.
You can't cease being the body by virtue of not being in a building. 1 Corinthians 12:27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. Being with other members of the body, however, is how we are completed as a unit.1 Corinthians 12:17If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be?
If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? That being said, it is good to be a part of others lives who also are Christian because it is for our benefit. It just doesn't have to be in a formal building at a prescribed time.
The churches in the New Testament met in people's homes. I Corinthians 6:19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;We need each other!
Getting together where ever it is- is a blessing for us. However, going to a dry dead church building looking at the back of someone's head for an hour, listening to a person talk, and going through ritualistic motions and actions-- that isn't church.1 Corinthians has a nice explanation for what the body is like.
As long as you practice believing in Christ, then you are a practicing Christian. I'm no one to judge but you may not be the most faithful Christian without attending Church as that is something that Christ has asked of us many times.
The church is the body of Christ . When we assemble together we worship God ,s word exhorts us and comforts us,thus strengthening and encouraging one another. Hebrews 10 :25 says, 'NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching'.
Yes, in fact there are quite a few Christians who don't go to "Church" and yet they are more Christian than the churchgoers. Fellowship with other believers however is a key part of following Christ. While Churches are supposed to be a good place to fellowship with other believers, people tend to be more honest when fellowshiping outside of traditional settings.
You don't have to have a big group to fellowship. The Lord says, "Whenever 2 or 3 are gather in my name, I am there.
If you believe in GOD and that Jesus is the Son of God and he gave s only Son to die on the cross so that you are saved by you can consider yourself a Christian. Going to church is suggested to you can surround yourself by other Christians and get spiritual support and biblical education from them. The old saying is you are defined by who you associate with!
BUT, I know that many people can not attend church and they read their bible, research on the internet, socialize with Christians outside of church, and watch Sermons on TV or listen to Sermons on the radio. If you can attend, you might want to look for a church for interaction and spiritual support. If you can't don't worry about it too much!
God knows your heart!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
