If your EGR valve is failing is it safer to replace it or can you just clean it?

My EGR valve stuck on my '90 Mustang. All I did was to remove it and use some spray Wynns Carb Cleaner to remove all the carbon deposits. That was a year ago and the engine has been smooth as silk from then on.It's an easy job - make sure when you put it back that the connections are clean and tight and the gaskets are leak-proof So go ahead, clean it - it's cheaper than a new one!

Also, be very careful with any chemical that you use to clean it - most are harmful if you breath them in.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
