It might be easier to list the foods that we don't like to eat with beer...the only one I can think of is ice cream. (Although, I did have a friend in college that claimed to enjoy "beer floats. ") If you are looking for more specific types of beer/food combinations, I think a strong porter or stout goes well with a steak.
The source I list seems to agree...
Hot wings, very spicy. Chocolate -- plain, unadulterated, no caramel, nuts or anything, just squares, milk or dark. Hershey's Godiva, Russell Stovers, etc.I swear by it.
I live in Japan now and the usual combo for beer here is Edamame (boiled soybeans). You can find out more here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edamame Basically, you get a package of frozen soybeans (in the US, they are usually found in the health food section), still in the pod and dump them in a pot of boiling water (with some salt). Then after boiling until they are soft (sampling a couple is my favorite way to check if they are ready), you pour in a bowl and sprinkle a bit more salt.To eat you simply pop the beans out with your fingers or suck them out and then toss the shell in a bowl.
I would suggest them as a side item to go along with one of the other suggestions.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
