I'm looking for a EEPROM/Flash programmer... There are so many options and all look crappy china-ware?

I'm working on an Arduino-based (or PIC, or anything else I can figure out) EEPROM programmer. Would wind up DIP/PLCC compatible. My end goal is to have something easily made on a prototype board, and I'll open-source it all. Current research indicates I'll need Atmel (Arduino) chip with an FDTI, some shift registers, some buffers, ZIF sockets for DIP and whatever sockets can be found for PLCC, and a few other items.

Flash chips basically write like Ram, so it should be as easy as pulsing chip-enable, output-enable, and write-enable after establishing address and data lines. If your need is not immediate (likely be a week or two before I have a full plan figured out) I'd be happy to share. Main advantage of my design; cheaper.

Main disadvantage of my design; you have to wait for me (lol) and it'll be far more work involved design-wise.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
