In English speaking U.S.A why do french fries accompany the Hamburger instead of English Chips?

Americans have decided to use the word Chips for Crisps and French Fries for Chips. They have to do everything differently. Couldn't accept Cricket, Rugby and Football so instead that have Baseball and American Football.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
