I have/had the same problem especially making the switch from seeing a baseball to softball or not playing softball for a while. The key is to wait, stay back, and don't try killing the ball. Since the ball comes in so slow and high, you start wanting to just crush the ball but if you relax, you'll be fine.
Good luck.
Expect to hit the opposite way. (Lefty instead of Righty, which is advantageous as it may help you get down the line faster) be patient = but not too aggressive since in many amateur softball leagues (at least the one I was in last summer) you'll start off with a 1-1 count. Fields are typically smaller than in baseball so run fast after making contact especially in a co-ed league - not to be sexist but some d(w)on't catch or read the ball as well as those with baseball experience.
Oh and have fun.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
