Intel core 2 duo vs core i3 vs core i5 vs core .. Which is better?

Lets keep this easier. Though almost all i5's are better than i3's, at the same price in equal value systems you'll get more other than CPU for an i3 system. You need to consider all the specs and the brand.

$500: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246304 The A8-3500M with 6620G graphics in a Lenovo Eseentials G575 15.6" 4GB RAM 750GB HDD 5400rpm DVD±R/RW Has pretty much everything you need, and is not gaming class, but does play a lot of them. CPU is better than an i3-2330M Graphics is #130 down vs Intel at #215. For a $500 system, this one is pretty good.

If you can show better. An i3 at $500 typically is Intel graphics An i5 with Intel graphics at $550: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246309 Lenovo Essentials is about the same as a generic Acer, HP, Dell, etc in this price class. They are all just off-the-shelf hardware.

AN i5-2450 is a decent CPU around 35% faster than the A8, but a trade-down in graphics and the rest of the system is the same. Is only 10/100 ethernet I think. I bought a G570 i5 750GB HDD.

It works fine. (The old Acer 5920 weighed a lot, has a wobbly screen, and would not run today's graphics, and are all off-the-shelf Chinese systems - Acer has near zero research and development).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
