Not bad It's definitely not a bad price. It's a good camera. However with all that was announce this week you could probably have gotten a brand new XTI with the same lens for about 500.

The lens you got isn't that hot, it does okay for beginner stuff but it's not really sharp and it has some wicked barrell distortion. But $375 for a DSLR with 8MP and a lens and a memory card, I think you did just fine, especially since that is what good P&S cameras cost these days. I've got the XT and purchased it for $1200 2 years ago. I have since invested in a 2 gb memory card and additional lenses. I love the camera and I think it is great.

If you plan on keeping it for two years then I would say go for a new one so that you would get the warrantee. If you are just buying it to try it out and see if you really like it to perhaps buy the XTi in a few months then maybe the used one is a good bet. Depends on how long yo plan on keeping it.Do you know who owned it and have they taken good care of the camera?

If so, then used would be okay. For my money though, I would spring for the extra $75 to get a brank new one. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
