Bush was bad, and dumb, but so have several others before and since he was in office. Let's take Reagan for example, he started this trickle down deficit spending economics, and it has got worse and worse every since it was started, now they have to borrow to do a budget, let's look at LBJ, he co-mingled the Social security trust fund in with the general fund so he could finance the Vietnam war. If it had been left alone there would be $16 trillion in it today, but no, they have spent it all on over seas wars and fixing up other countries, it's really a big rip off of the American people, it really doesn't seem to matter who our Politicians are, the U.S. citizens always get ripped off.
Jimmy Carter - Following shortly after the end of Vietnam and the debacle of Watergate, America was to say the least, at a low ebb; we badly needed a President, a leader... What we received with Carter was an incompetent boob, who's bungled handling of the Iran Hostage Crisis further dashed the collective spirits of the American public... At a time when we were still coming to terms with the after effects of the Vietnam conflict and our pitiful treatment of the returning soldiers, Carter found this to be a good time to pardon the draft dodgers... His failures make for a long list. Upside - His incompetence ushered in Ronald Reagan, one of the greatest Presidents of all time and certainly the greatest in my lifetime.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
