One can answer that by evaluating why they write. For me, I write because I have the itch, an inward desire to express myself and share some of my emotion and fantasy with others. While I enjoy some adoration and positive feedback, the reality within me says that it is highly unlikely that it will ever benefit me greatly in a commerical sense.

That said, I will continue to write unless for some unforseen reason I just lose the muse. Looking at a different perspective, one might say that the "writing" is the product that you can produce and the instinct of the entreprenuar begs, "how can I sell it? " Thus, there is a lot more activity and effort associated with getting the 'product' in front of as many people as possible in order to make the sale.

But, in this example, I think you have to view the writing as simpy a 'product' which then (to me) makes it secondary to the desire to just make money. In the end, we have to look at commerically successful writers and wonder which road they came up to really know. WB.

It depends on how much entrepreneurial work you are letting get into your writing.. but hey, it works for me. I've been an entrepreneur for a couple of years. Hasn't effected my normal writing.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
