Is it better to Buy or rent a wedding gown?

I would personally say it would be cheaper to rent I guess, but would spend the little bit extra to own it. The only reason I say this, is my wife told me that her wedding gown was one of her most favorite parts of the whole experience, and is very glad that she is able to hold on to it forever, even though she might not ever wear it again. Now with that I have said that, if it is the money situation that is a bit harder for you and your loved one to work out, there are all sorts of alternatives!

Our wedding took place at a haunted house, and reception was held at her mother's house, in the backyard. As for the dress we went to many different shops, and actually found the dress she fell in love with for 40 dollars. We lucked out and found it brand new at a Goodwill store.So there are several things you can look for, if you would like to keep your dress!

Renting a wedding dress sounds like a good idea to me! I never did see the reasoning behind spending a ton of money on a dress you only wear a few hours. Sounds like your friend has her mind made up but wants to make her groom happy~nothing wrong with that and if it's truly important to him that she have a new dress then he should be the one to foot the bill!

This is a question that only the bride herself can answer. No one can tell a bride what she should do on her special day, because she will simply do whatever it is that she wants.
