Is it common courtesy to buy your own coffin?

It's better to make your own. You can decorate it, shape it and stuff.

Who cares. Why buy and waste money on one. You'll be dead so y care where your body is going.

Not necessarily. However, it is good to prepare for dying by praying the rosary regularly. medjugorje.org/rosary.htm The fifteen promises of Mary to Christians who recite the rosary: 1.

Me, I'd be fine with a simple earth burial. No coffin.

I think so as I don't want my living relatives to be burdened with that. Personally, whatever the cheapest option is, I will go for that. I wish they would start a cemetery that was nothing but a place where it was unmarked graves.

And what it was was a place where you go to be buried and your body feeds the plants in the graveyard. Trees, fruit trees, vegetable gardens, ect. Ect.

And animals get to walk around and partake of it. I think that would be nice.

Don't know if it is common courtesy or not but I am 6'3" tall, over 300 lb and am living in a 3rd world country where people are 5'2" and weight 100-130 lbs.....So yes I will be having mine made and paying for it before the time comes.....just a big plywood piece of crap.....I'll never know. By the way with due respect, Mary is DEAD AND SLEEPING leave her alone....all repeating the Rosary does is make you feel better.
