I guess it depends on what type of animal you're giving the food to. I will be assuming you are referring to carnivores and/or omnivores for the sake of my reply. All sentient beings have unique minimum nutritional requirements based on their ecological niche and function. As a somewhat reluctant vegetarian, I'm confronted with this issue often.
I do still eat eggs and dairy, but no meat. However, I am making this decision for myself. I am responsible for myself.
I can monitor my health and make adjustments as necessary to support my health. An animal, however, and in this case assuming its domesticated, isn't so self sufficient. It relies on its human to provide most, if not all, of its daily sustainance. Its not so easy for them to convey the status of their health and their needs.
Because of this, I personally don't feel its wise to stray very far from the animal's natural diet.It goes without saying we humans are guilty of anthropomorphism. We can't escape it. All we know is a human perspective and we impose it often on other things in our lives that are not human.
Assuming because a human being feels vegetarianism is more ethical is another such imposition. Nature knows best, and as it reminds us often, it can be much wiser than we are.
I think it's fine, just as long as you find out what they can or can't eat. Certain fruits and vegetables can't be processed by all animals, so do your research. Other than that, as long as you are feeding them, I see nothing wrong with it.
Depending on the animal. I think been a vegetarian is pretty good habit, (unless you are talking about children, because there are cetain nutrion children need to get from meat), this is mainly because animals are also living conscious beens, like us. So, if your animal is one that can have a vegetarian diet, it is good to give your pet that sort of diet too.Me personally, I try to become a vegan a few times, already (The first time it last for three month, the second time last for one month, the third time last for two month).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
