Is it feasible to earn Revshare at Mahalo.com by asking questions? If so, how many do you need to ask before you can start earning?

Introducing the ONLY search engine optimization software product that has been 100% PROVEN to dramatically increase your rankings in Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Get it now!

It is feasible, but it will require a great deal of work. Mahalo pays out to the asker of a question 25% of ad revenue for the question thread, up to a limit of M$100. The member providing a best answer receives 25% rev share up to M$200.

There are subtle details about anaonymous questions (where the asker gets nothing), questions with no best answer (where the asker gets hi/her share, but the BA share is retained by Mahalo), etc. But those do not alter the essence of what you're asking about. The star question asker on Mahalo is @davepamn.As of this writing, Dave has asked 5922 questions, and has 120 best answers. Dave's Q&A pending rev share at this time is M$67.36.

Scaling from my stats, I'd estimate that Dave has earned to date about M$180 total in Q&A rev share. Since he has overwhelmingly more questions than best answers, you can safely assume that most or all of this income is from questions. Thus, on average, it appears that Dave is earning about M$0.02/month/question.

From my studies, about 5% of questions and answers get rev share, while the remaining 95% do not. From the above, you can see the following. - You need to ask hundreds of questions before you will likely receive noticeable rev share.

- You need to ask questions that are likely to bring in Google traffic, so questions about Mahalo are less likely to do so than e.g. Questions about consumer electronics, coupons, restaurants, cars, travel, etc. - You need to use good search engine optimization techniques such as good keyword choice and density, in-linking, linking to reputable and relevant sites, etc. My rev share is coming mostly from best answers (1359 as of this writing) and has gotten to a rate of about M$0.16/month/BA. Since I have not reached M$100 in any BA yet that I'm aware, it is probable that the askers of all the questions I got BA on, have received the same revenue from those questions. Thus, good SEO, and good topics may increase the income by a factor of 4 or more.

It is more than feasible to earn Revenue Share at Mahalo, once you start asking questions you can start earning revenues from "Google AdSense revenue generated on question pages with the asker and best answerer. Revenue is split three ways, in Mahalo dollars, up to a cap of M$100 per asker and best answerer (M$200 total, M$100 each). " The objective of this feature is motivate Mahalo members to come up with the best questions and best answers and give members of the community "with additional Mahalo dollars to spend on the site, or cash out."
