Is it good to have shade on your plants for part of the day when you're gardening?

It will depend on the types of plants you intend to use in a garden, and in which USDA growing zone you live. Some will require several hours of shade every day, while others will prefer to remain in full sun for eight hours or more. In general, vegetables prefer full sun for the majority of the day.

Providing shade is typically a natural phenomenon occurring when the sun lowers in the sky or when it's obscured by the house or other structure. Here in Arizona, we have to provide shade in order to keep the plants alive during our very hot summer days. Whether morning or evening shade won't really matter unless you are in a hot climate.Be careful not to water your vegetables too close to sunset.

Doing so will encourage leaf spotting, mildewing, and other problems.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
