It would totally be up to the tribal council and the chief. You need to petition the council for a hearing on that. Do you have any kind of native american tribal affiliation?

Visit your nearest tribal office to find out how to apply. You might want to befriend one of the drummers at a powwow and ask how you can get involved. These are just suggestions as women of the tribes generally have responsibilities and judgement over family matters, not on who is qualified to be a drummer, or singer.

If you speak to the medicine man and tell him it owuld be good medicine to allow an outsider to participate, he may be able to influence the chief.

If you are not specifically interested in Native American drumming there are lots of "open" drum circles that are not a formal Pow Wow and have drummers (and drums) from all over the world. Usually they are run by the local community, are loosely constructed and open to all, beginners to professionals. It is a thrilling experience to feel the energy and non-verbal communication connecting all types of people.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
